About Jordan Hess

Jordan Hess studies Community and Regional Planning in the Department of Geography at The University of Montana.  He’s a tireless transit advocate and believes that making the proper land use and transportation choices will change our world for the better.  Jordan rides the Schwinn that his dad rode when he was in college.

Jordan chairs the Associated Students of The University of Montana’s Board on Transportation.  The board oversees programs and budgets for the Office of Transportation, which provides successful transit and non-motorized services to the University community.  He is also chair of the university’s Sustainable Campus Committee, and meets regularly with the Missoula Advocates for Sustainable Transportation for planning, advocacy, coffee, and conversation.

Currently, Jordan works at the information desk at the Maureen and Mike Mansfield Library providing tech support, and for Mountain Line, where he is working to improve access to schedule information through technical innovation.
